11 Apr WOLF TEETH
Wolf Teeth in horses come in many shapes and sizes! These two were removed from a rising 2yr old filly yesterday. Wolf teeth sit just infront of the first large molar tooth.
They should be removed when the horse is under sedation, with local anaesthetic and pain relief given. Also important that tetanus vaccination is current.
Best to remove them before breaking the horse in as their presence may cause pain when in contact with a bit. Removal is easier when the horse is younger.
